Elvis returned to Humes for another talent show, accompanied by Dixie.

Elvis performed at the Louisiana Hayride, from the City Auditorium, Houston, Texas. Elvis appeared on a Hayride remote broadcast with Slim Whitman, Hoot and Curley, Johnny Horton, Tibby Edwards and Floyd Cramer. Elvis "did" "Little Mama", "That's All Right", "You're A Heartbreaker" and "Shake, Rattle And Roll". Over 2,000 people were turned away for this performance and Elvis and Slim Whitman both tore the house down.

Elvis performed at the Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Canada at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. He wore the full gold suit and accompanied himself on the piano on "Blueberry Hill".
