Elvis performed at City Auditorium, San Angelo, Texas at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Elvis and the band left Winston - Salem at 5:50 a.m. on a flight to New York City.

Elvis was at Radio Recorders, and continued soundtrack recording from 7:00 p.m. to midnight again. At the conclusion of recording Elvis decided, impulsively, to take the Greyhound bus for a trial spin to Las Vegas for the weekend.

Elvis continued to buy pickup trucks for the guys, his relatives and everyone who worked on the property. Today's purchases included 1 Chevy custom El Camino, 2 Dodges and 5 Fords, as well as 2 more house trailers.

Elvis reported back to American at 8.00 p.m. and worked until 4:00 a.m. Some real beauties were delivered here: True Love Travels On A Gravel Road and Stranger In My Own Home Town.
