Elvis Presley makes his professional debut in Memphis. It's his first concert to be advertised. Elvis performed at the Overton Park Shell, Memphis. Once again Elvis did the two songs with Sam Phillips and Dixie and his parents in attendance. Elvis was so nervous that he didn't even notice his shaking legs. The crowd went wild.

Elvis performed at the Peabody Auditorium, Daytona Beach, Florida at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.

The Elvis Presley album 'Elvis is Back' was at No.1 on the UK chart.

Elvis performed at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, New Haven, Connecticut.
