Elvis' dad; Vernon Presley and his Mother; Gladys Love Smith were getting married.

After a press conference Elvis was mobbed sitting at a sidewalk café. Elvis spent the rest of his days sleeping and went to all kind of clubs at night.

Elvis wrote to the U.S. Army and requested that he would be placed on standby rather than on active reserve, as his work required him to travel a lot. Accompanied by Hall Wallis and Shirley MacLaine Elvis attended a birthday party for Dean Martin on the Paramount lot.

After long negotiations between Elvis and Priscilla's parents in which Elvis had convinced them to allow Priscilla to fly to Los Angeles, Priscilla finally arrived from Germany for a 2 week visit.

Elvis reported to rehearsals at the NBC studios in Burbank, California, at 1:00 p.m. for a meeting with Billy Goldenberg, Steven Binder's musical arranger. From 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. there was a dance rehearsal with Jaime Rogers. Lance LeGault was present also, and helped Elvis with his dance sequences. This schedule was repeated the next two days.

Elvis performed at the Chicago Stadium, Chicago at 2:30 and 8:00 p.m.

Elvis performed at the Louisiana State University Assembly Center, Raton Rouge, Louisiana.

Elvis was released from the hospital.

Elvis performed at the Southwest Missouri State University Hammons Center, Springfield, Missouri. This was the first show of what would be his last tour ever.
