Elvis completed publicity stills and was recognized at a special ceremony on the set for contributing $50,000 to the Motion Picture Relief Fund.

There was a rehearsal at the NBC studio from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and afterwards Elvis started to work on the informal jam with Scotty and D.J. Fontana. Later that afternoon Elvis returned to Western Recorders, where recorded the vocals for "Memories".
