Elvis performed at the High School, Tocopola, Mississippi.

Elvis performed at the Kiel Auditorium, St. Louis, Missouri. Once again Elvis wore the gold suit, but after this show he didn't wear the trousers again. Elvis considered the suit clownish. Besides that, the Colonel had asked Elvis not to drop on his knees anymore because the gold was flaking off. So most of the rest of the tour Elvis wore black pants.

Elvis contacted the karate instructor Kang Rhee, whom Ed Parker had recommended. Elvis visited Master Rhee's studio and the 2 of them immediately hit it off and Elvis received his fourth-degree black belt on this date.
