Since Red West went home for a couple of days, Elvis tried to recruit Alan Fortas to replace Red West, but this failed. Alan was already warned by Red of the restrictiveness of life in Germany. Elvis then contacted Cliff Gleaves.

Elvis and Dixie attended the Oral Roberts Crusade.

Elvis performed at the City Auditorium, Fort Myers, Florida.

Elvis returned to radio Recorders to complete the work on the Jailhouse Rock soundtrack from 1:00 to 4:15 p.m.

Back home Elvis screened some movies at the General Cinema in Whitehaven.
